The Price Way:
Growth
Growth as a Choice, Adversity as a Teacher
Price is celebrating its 75th anniversary throughout 2024, and our commemoration of this milestone will dedicate special attention to the 13 tenets of the Price Way. Each post in this blog series explores one of these guiding principles, giving our blog readers a closer look at its meaning.
Growth in Action
At Price, growth is not something that happens to us; it is something we choose. It is imperative for every organization. In our industry, there is no such thing as the status quo – you are either growing or shrinking.
Growth comes with the risks that arise from venturing into a new territory, but the years have shown us that adversity is the best teacher. The lessons we’ve learned by solving problems teach us as much as our successes do and set us up to conquer even greater challenges in the future.
Using these lessons, we’ve entered new product categories, revolutionized our factories, expanded our footprint and elevated what it means to serve. And along with our representatives and partners who exemplify this same spirit of growth, much of this is thanks to our team members who approach every opportunity with confidence and to our leaders who never take their eyes off the horizon.
“Growth is more than an increase in sales and revenue. Growth to me signifies continual learning, improvement and adaptation. Our responsibility to the industry is to ensure that boundaries are pushed and knowledge is grown through education, research and innovation. Embracing a growth mindset allows us to stay agile in a competitive market and, in turn, allows our representatives to grow alongside us.”
